Delivering Positive Outcomes For Young People
Fostering
At Brighter Fostering we want our foster carers to provide care for looked after children and give them a positive experience to achieve the best possible outcomes whilst they are in care.
A looked after child can be in foster care from as short as a week to as long as a year and even beyond.
Every fostering experience will be a unique experience for the looked after child and the foster carers they are placed with.
Who Can Foster?
The key to foster care is high levels of energy coupled with commitment and a passion for working with children and young people. Foster carers are expected to be resilient and enthusiastic, willing & able to battle through the tough times.

About Brighter Fostering
Brighter Fostering has qualified, and experienced social workers who will help deliver an outstanding local service to foster carers and children.
We are dedicated to identifying, recruiting and approving people who want to become foster carers. We will support you through the whole application process and it does not stop there.
Brighter Fostering staff will continue to ensure your development does not stop up to your approval, we want to support and supervise you as approved foster carers to ensure you become valuable contributors to the regional fostering challenges particularly when there is a shortage of foster carers to take in vulnerable looked after children who need your support.
We are intending to recruit the best families who have the potential to provide care, they have a good practical skill set and to make a practical difference to the lives of young vulnerable people
Our Statement of Purpose
Our Statement of Purpose sets out the aims and objectives of Brighter Fostering.
We recruit and retain foster carers from diverse backgrounds thus ensuring a range of appropriate placements for children and young people.
Our aim is to provide foster families and support packages for children and young people ‘looked after’ that offer a stable and consistent experience of family life, to enhance and maximise their life opportunities.
Regardless of the circumstances a child has been through, we believe in delivering a foster care service that places their needs at the centre of everything we do and help provide a safe and prosperous future for every child that is placed with Brighter Fostering and our approved carers.
